NSBA Events
The National School Boards Association provides several opportunities for professional development through its annual events. These events provide training opportunities for school board members and members of their district staff, focusing on five key areas: leadership, advocacy, technology, urban school issues, and school law.

►37th Annual Federal Relations Network (FRN) Conference
January 31 - February 2, 2010 - Washington, D.C.
The only national meeting that offers school board members the inside track on public education advocacy! School board members from across the country learn in depth information about legislative issues and then lobby their members of Congress on Capitol Hill with one unified voice to improve public education. Attendess must be appointed as FRN member by their state associations or a member of the Council of Urban Boards of Education (CUBE). In order to participate as a CUBE district, the district must also be a member of the state association.

This technology and learning conference for school leaders focuses on tackling today's critical challenges: engaging students in learning; connecting parents and community to the learning process; and transforming district operatons and streamlining internal systems.
