About Legal Services

Answering board members' questions about the law and doing a limited amount of legal research are among the valuable services ASBA's Legal Services staff provides to association members.*

ASBA also provides boards with email updates on current legal issues and opinions, and provides representation for the association and its member boards in court and regulatory proceedings. The Legal Services staff also advocates for schools in both state and federal courts, based on the ASBA organizational and political agenda.
